Community grants are in high demand at the moment, which is a trend we see year after year as we draw closer to the End of Financial Year. There are a HUGE number of grants closing over the next 7 weeks, right up until 30 June. It’s a critical time of year to invest in grant searching, and then be extremely organised so you know which application you need to submit next. Our Favourites or Grant Calendar might be the tools you need to help keep you on track.

Four of the top grants gaining our members’ interest at the moment are:

Sunsuper's Dreams for a Better World - Community Grants

Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World funds dreams to help Australian-based charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations make a real difference in the community. Their Brighter Futures round is currently open, focussing on education, employment and financial wellbeing.

Sunsuper would love to receive your application if you need funding for education initiatives, to create jobs for those in need, or improve financial wellbeing and affordability for Australians. They are also looking for dreams that enhance employment opportunities, or offer training and support to those who need a helping hand to get into or back to work.

Grants from $5,000 to $50,000 are available, with applications closing 21 June 2019.

Harcourts Foundation Grants

It’s great seeing big companies like Harcourts providing grass-roots funding. The Harcourts Foundation provides support for a specific event, project, item, or initiative that helps, grows, and enriches our communities. Grant applications must be for a specific event, project, item, or initiative.

This is a good example of the need to contact a funding body before submitting an application; make sure you ask what their current ideal funding range is.

Applications close 30 Jun 2019.
